Anyone who knows me or has looked at my past websites will know that i am into the darker characters in most games, movies, manga, anime, etc. I loved Lulu in FFX, Vincent in FF7, Neu in Weiss Kreuz, Dark Chii in Chobitsu, and so on. So when i first saw Edea as the Sorceress, she perked my interest and i decided to follow her character closely. Of course, once they revealed her true identity it was inevitable; the irony of it made me instantly fall in love with her. She was opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of being a sorceress and not being one.
Of course, i also love Ultimecia. I even owned Ultimecia.net for some time until i let it die. I even recently planned out a shrine to her, which turned into a FF Witch/Soreceress essay site, which slowly dissolved into a shrine to my favorite Sorceress of them all, Edea Kramer. I might eventully make those pages, but that is besides the point i guess.
The name of the shrine is perhaps the easiest to pinpoint. Matron is the name the children call her by when they are younger living in the orphanage. I wanted this site to focus more on her than on her posessed sorceress state, so Matron was created. Besides, my original title was currently being used.
